Chris I grew up fascinated with machines. The symphony of hundreds of parts working in time together always amazed me. In my teens I started fixing neighbors and friends lawn mowers, weed whackers, dirt bikes and whatever I could get my hands on. I started working on cars professionally at 16, in a mom and pop shop in Little Silver NJ. After that summer of work, I started at Brookdale in the electronics engineering program taking electives in the automotive program. (Hey, free credits.) During the next school year I came across a guy selling a 1983 Audi Coupe Quattro. (A super rare rally car that started the whole 4 wheel drive car craze) It was a mess, he never had it running, and it had a complicated Bosch CIS injection system that takes a lot of tinkering to get running right. He told me if you ever get it running; bring it by my shop Schneider & Nelson Audi. Fast forward a few months and a lot of work I found myself pulling the car into the parking lot of his dealer. Turns out the guy I bought the car from was the service manager of Audi, Porsche, and Land Rover. He brought out a bunch of mechanics and joked about how for years they couldn't get the car running and this 18 year old kid got it running and driving in 2 months. He was so impressed he pretty much demanded I start working for him in 2 weeks. I worked at that building on Audi's and Land Rovers for a year, before moving over to Land Rover Monmouth for another 7. I started this business in my driveway with a few customers that I knew from dealer. They told their friends about me and the great work I do, and their friends told their friends. And through good reviews and recommendations, in 4 years the business grew from my driveway to a 4 bay shop in Wall Township. - Chris Eason, Founder
