I was very happy with my experience, it is my first time to try Persian food and I was totally surprised with how delicious it is, the Kebab meat is juicy and very tasty. One thing that I could "complain" is the limited parking space, but. overall, it is one great place to visit if you are in search of a Persian food.

I ate at Shalizaar for the first time a week ago and was very pleased. The restaurant and grounds are nicely decorated and landscaped and are carefully maintained. I expected higher prices from the outside appearance and was pleasantly surpised to find entrees in the $12-20 range. Starters are a soft, single-layer, pita-style bread with seasoned walnut halves and mixed fresh herbs along with a litte feta. Very refreshing and unusual--I liked it a lot. Dinners come with rice, or half salad and half rice, which I chose. When my meal arrived the 'half' portions of salad and rice were full-sized and the boneless lamb kabob I ordered was a generous portion, cooked the perfect medium-rare that I ordered and the marinated flavors were subtle and well-balanced.



The wine list covered a nice range and the prices were reasonable. The Persian ice cream sandwich was a wonderful rose-water flavor between crispy layers reminiscent of the old waffle ice cream cones. Accompanied by Persian tea with mint, it was a great ending to a memorable meal.
