Provided by YP.comOn September 1st or 2nd, 2015, I took my 2004 Chevrolet Colorado to Behrend's Auto Inc. for the replacement of a water pump. They apparently damaged my radiator which they told me had sprung a leak. It had been just fine to that point, with no leaking or engine overheating. Less than a week later on Labor Day, 9/7/15 I was 35 miles from home in a rural area when I lost all my transmission fluid. I had to be towed back to Behren's at a cost of $247.50. I believe Rick Behren's is an honorable man, and he gave me a partial refund, but refused to repay me for the tow. I would have never written this review except for happened next. Not trusting my transmission, a week or so ago I traded my 2004 Colorado for a 2009 Colorado with half the mileage. The gentleman who took the trade called me a couple days ago to tell me he had to replace the "new" radiator, because Behren's had "cross threaded" it, then sealed it with a putty similar to what is used by a plumber. I provided this gentleman with the entire history of my experience with Behrend's and assured him I didn't know anything about the botched job on the radiator, apologizing profusely since he probably thought I was a crook. In summary, in replacing my water heater, they destroyed my radiator and knocked loose the hose carrying my transmission fluid. When replacing the original ruined radiator, they "cross threaded" the fitting, sealing it with a plumbers type putty which starting leaking for the new owner. I repeat, I believe Rick Behrens to be an honorable man, but I will NEVER trust his mechanic/s with another of my vehicles. Can you blame me?
