Wow, have not been in a while so decided Sunday would be the day since they had banana pudding. The special was bacon wrapped pork, sounded good and like something that would not mess up an already messed up system. I was able to eat one small slice of the pork and it was so greasy, I could not eat the rest of it and my husband tried it and the same was said by him. Mashed potatoes, okay safe, no, they had no flavor. Green beans, even ordered a medium extra green beans, so greasy and old tasting that all went into the trash. The banana pudding had no bananas and no cookies? I guess banana pudding meant exactly that, banana pudding. I have never had to give a poor rating but I felt compelled to be honest about our experience. I doubt we will go back again, nothing like it was the last time we went, some years ago.

We have been told the owner doesn't care what we post on Facebook. So let's start with how he treated a group of 45 people this weekend that he had promised would have inside seating. We were already seated by his staff because their paperwork had us reserved for the inside middle room. I personally went by the restaurant earlier in the day and asked to speak with the manager on duty. She pulled her paperwork and confirmed we had the middle room reserved and possibly sharing with an overflow from a wedding party which we had agreed to. When we showed up we were seated and waitresses panicked because they had booked a second party (not the overflow from the wedding as they has said) and there wasn't room for the second party. I was then handed the phone to speak to the owner who lied to me and said he had talked to my coordinator earlier in the week and had explained THEIR mixup. Not once did the manager call my coordinator. She had to call back and got confused employees who said he was suppose to call her bit that as of that time we were still down for the middle room. Therefore I showed up the day of to be sure all was on track and was told not to worry. After 45 people (including children as young as 2) were seated and me being handed the phone, he told us we would have to sit outside or leave. I told him we had children that had no coats because we had been assured we would have indoor seating, he refused to honor his commitment to this group. We then had 45 people, including children at 7pm who had not eaten and could not sit out in the cold because of lack of appropriate clothing to keep warm that I then had to find a place to accommodate. These were all people who paid to attend our weekend long event. I was treated very rudely and lied to by the owner who had committed to our group. We will never make this mistake again and caution other event coordinators against relying on the ownership of this venue! We certainly will spread the word of his treatment of this group to save others from the mess he caused us!

the brisket is tender the ribs are great the sauce is perfect the sides are tasty and the deer sausage is wonderful not to mention the great customer service and pretty girls! I love it!

Excellent brisket, sausage, chicken, ribs, pork chops... Great sauce! Truly Texas-style.

We lived in Texas all our lives. We have lived in Washington state for 10 yrs so when we go to visit family in Texas. This is home cooking at its best what Texas BBQ suppose to taste like. Sure do miss that bbq when here in Washington. Will be going home in Sept2010 and will be stopping in again. Cant wait!!! yuuummmmyy

For simple food, Schoef's is certainly proud out it. They are way overpriced!

I have traveled the United States and have eaten at a lot of different BBQ restaurants that where good, but by far Schoepf's Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que is the Finest I have ever had!!! If your in doubt, try it out!!! Don't fret, you won't regret!!!
