Leslie Vasquez opened the Platinum Lounge in 1999 in a small shop in Capitola to create a positive and relaxing environment for her growing clientele. The salon grew quickly with clients flocking here for hair extensions and color expertise. In 2004, the salon outgrew its Capitola location and moved to a much larger space with beautiful high ceilings, close freeway access, and plenty of free parking in Santa Cruz. Over the years, the salon has added new services, such as makeup, hair removal, and hair smoothing treatments. The benefits of our team system is that you can always request an appointment with whichever stylist you want and also have the freedom to try different stylists guilt -free within the salon. You'll always have a fresh perspectiveand you'll always receive the utmost in service and attention. Meeting your salon service needs and busy schedule is our top priority. The salon owes much of its success to its extensive mentoring and training program. To ensure consistent service quality and technical skill, all Platinum Lounge personnel are required to complete our in-salon skill certification program. This means you can always have confidence and peace of mind knowing that you are in the talented hands of a skill-certified team member. Every year, we travel to several hair shows nationwide to improve our craft and to see the latest and greatest in the beauty industry.
