I own a 1973 BMW 2002 tii here in Bend. I have dropped by Autohaus a number of times since moving to Bend 6 years ago and have always enjoyed talking with Ron about cars. One time I showed up in my tii and Ron noticed my idle was low, we popped the hood and he had her purring at 1,000 rpm in a few minutes, no charge! Most of the work on my tii I do myself. Recently I’ve been dealing with a broken driver’s side window regulator… with the heat of the summer I was getting frustrated and hot driving around with the window held up by a C clamp! I pulled out the regulator and after about 3-4 attempts trying to repairing and re-install it I could only get the window working about 80% up and down movement. I pulled out the regulator again and took it to Ron to show him what I had done to fix it and get his opinion. After some discussion we decided it needed a little drilling, thread tapping and a little “Rongenering”! Ron had the job done in about 15 minutes. I took the regulator home reinstalled it and I now have a driver’s side window that works 100% thanks to Ron and some “Rongenering”!

Don't use this place, the owner is a serious nut job. Bi-polar to the extreme! Run people...Run!

If you don't think I'm for real, call him and set up an appointment or worse show up and ask to set up a time for him to check out your car....He will freak right in front of you, don't bring the kids, it's not pretty!

Caution - mentally unstable owner, possibly violent!I have never seen someone lose it in 3 seconds flat, scary to the point of almost calling the police. Don’t even go near this place, the owner is bad news, can’t say much on his repair abilities, we never even got that far. He kicked me out of the office in the first 8 seconds. Dangerous Man!

I've been taking my Mercedes to Ron since I moved here 3 years ago. He's a very competent mechanic and very honest. He's had numerous opportunities to up-sell me into other repairs and has, in fact, reasoned with me to postpone repairs and to look at cheaper alternatives. I can not speak to his competence as a mechanic since I wasn't able to actually utilize his services. Which is disappointing. I moved to Central Oregon a few years ago and had been looking for a local independent shop to service my two BMWs. Auto Haus was recommended by several local enthusiasts so I was excited at the opportunity to build a relationship with a local shop. I was extremely dispappointed in how I was treated over the phone. He refused to give me a quote over the phone, which is fair enough, but he also did not give me an option to come in either. He told me that he didn't want to chase his tail on things that may not bring him business and that he was booked out for two weeks already. He also said that he chooses to work with clients he has a relationship with and not chance it with new customers. Terrific... but if you continue to treat people poorly you'll soon have no customers. I would strongly suggest taking your business elsewhere. Customer service of this nature does not deserve to be rewarded with repeat business. I will continue to drive the three hours it takes to get to Medford and work with John's Auto Care or to Portland... places where service goes beyond the ability to turn a wrench and actually includes treating people with respect.

I have been taking my BMW to Ron for a number of years. I feel fortunate to know of such an honest and competent mechanic here in Central Oregon. His attention to detail, thoroughness, and expertise are a few of the reasons I continue to patronize the Auto-Haus. I can hands down recommend him to anyone looking for a great mechanic.

I just wanted my BMW emblem replaced and upon removing the old one with a metal screw driver, Ron ran a severe scratch down the trunk of my car. He looked at me and just blew it off. Dont go here!

If you want to have your car fixed by someone you can trust, make it this. I've known the owner for years and he owns and solely operates the shop. He's a expert on BMW's and Mercedes-Benz, been working on them almost all his life. I have never been disappointed with his work and there is something to be said for having your car fixed by a professorial individual rather than a large company.

Ron at Auto Haus has worked on our Volvo XC90 on several occasions, and he's been great -- conscientious, thorough, and fair. He fixed things right the first time, for a reasonable price and without any surprises. I highly recommend him.

We had our BMW taken care of at Jaeger Performance recently. The owner (I believe he's the owner) is a truly dedicated man that knows BMWs inside & out. He prices fairly & explains things in detail (he even raised the car & showed us). I do recommend being on time, as Ron? is very busy & not particularly people-oriented. You cannot find another service shop of this quality in this part of Oregon. Set an appointment, trust the man with your car & don't talk much.
