Provided by YP.comIn Jan 2014, at my last check, up I learned that certain blood levels where off the charts and that I was in immediate danger of heart attack! Up to that point I’d never had health concerns. It turned out that the reason was a direct result of poor pharmacy practices of the Bend Pill Box. The refill of my one & only prescription filled prior to my January doctor visit was filled with double the usual strength medication and since it looked the same as my usual dosage I had no reason to question it. According to the Oregon State Board of Pharmacy and Federal laws governing pharmacy practices the Pharmacist Must Advise patients of new strengths and any other changes in their medication. The pharmacist of the Bend Pill Box never said a word to me about a change in dose strength of my medication.
When I confronted a pharmacist at the Bend Pill Box about this matter she said that it is not uncommon to have to provide new strengths due to availability of certain medications. When I explained that I’d never been told that this medication is a different dose, she declined to speak to me further.
So if you are getting your meds at the Bend Pill Box better watch out for grumpy pharmacist who don’t follow the law….you could have a heart attack.
