Lara House is located within walking distance of downtown with many restaurants and brew pubs with excellent cuisine. The Deschutes river and mirror pond park are located across street from Lara House, where something formal or informal is always happening, runners, anglers, slack line walking, a stroll in the park, kayak and canoeing,... The accommodations are excellent as were the host couple who greeted us and told us wine and hors d oeuvres would be out soon. The room was decorated very well and the bed was warm and cuddly, like my wife. We had TV's and many dvd's to choose from, we chose to read our own books although they have many to choose from in their library. Breakfast was prepared very well with lots of coffee, decaf or tea along with juice and water. We had fruit, oatmeal brulee and eggs. All in all, a very nice place to stay and I would highly recommend.
