The program for school-age children is a bridge between home and school. It is a balance of educational, social, and recreational opportunities, an environment that is safe and structured, and activities that are conducive to all children in a fun, playful way. The program for preschool children is based on a developmental approach. Curriculum and teaching strategies are age and individually appropriate for preschool children. The program's activities are primarily child-directed. All children are individuals of equal worth and value who come to our program at their own developmental level and bring with them a mixture of family, background, language, culture, personality, and learning style. School-Age Child Care is offered at the Robert Semple, Mary Farmar, Matthew Turner, and Joe Henderson Sites. Half-Day and full-day preschool is offered at the Robert Semple site only. State Subsidized Care is offered only at the Robert Semple Elementary Site. Mary Farmar, Matthew Turner, and Joe Henderson Elementary aites are primarily full-cost programs.
