Berkeley Wheelchairs, is the worse place to take your wheelchair o scooter. They do not care about their clients. I have experienced a couple of times with them, and was extremely disappointed with their services. I have excellent insurance, they are fast to respond, and it covers my scooter. Berkeley Wheelchair staff lied to my insurance about the date I would get my scooter. I have waited two weeks without notice from Berkeley Wheelchair. I had to call my insurance for support. They told my insurance hat I have to pay my co-pay and agree to pay the co-pay. It was never mentioned to me about my co-pay within the two weeks of waiting to get the scooter. They also told my insurance they had the parts and I will get the scooter within a week. I called Berkeley Wheelchair, paid the co-payment, now they tell me they will call for the parts and it will be ready about ten working days. That is a month without my scooter. I am unable to get a round. Do not deal with Berkeley Wheelchair if you possibly can.

This is an EXCELLENT retail outlet for various supplies for the disabled. Large inventory. However, as a resource for acquiring equipment or supplies via an insurance claim, don't expect anything overnight. The bureaucracy involved is very time consuming. Don't know if it's the fault of this business or the insurance carriers.
