EGL lighting is a joke. One of my employees spoke with an individual at egl who identified himself as the owner. He was arrogant and rude and had elementary knowledge of simple questions pertaining to LED and neon.products. It was almost silly. We have been in the lighting industry for nearly 100 years and EGL just seems to becoming more and more of an outdated operation. They cant seem to keep up with the new trends and should just throw in the towel. They are not respected across the board in the industry and are difficult, arrogant and present as having all the answers while only coming off as foolish and behind the times. EGL is the "titanic" of the lighting industry. Beyond repair. The gentlemen who spoke with one my sales rep, identified himself as the manager and when presented with simple LED questions was "stumped" again and again and had the nerve to act as though he was doing us a favor by speaking with us. He also was as personable as a rock. Literally no personality AT ALL. Very strange guy. The lighting industry has grown and progressed in a positive way and egl continues to hold to "the old way" of doing things. My company has now been buying our lighting products elsewhere as egl is a constant hassle and let down. Their electrodes, which they actual stole from Georges Claude, I dear friend of my grandfather, are obsolete in today.s signage world. I don't know how EGL stays afloat as everyone I do business with both nationally and international literally laughs at the mention of EGL neon and lighting. EGL should have a tombstone as it's company seal. If you are looking for quality lighting and signage equipment EGL is the last place to go. Move forward with everyone else. Neon is history and as far as I am concerned and may others I do business with. Pack it in EGL or catch up with the rest of us. Also, teach your manager how to interact with others respectfully and perhaps explore getting himself a personality. Sad state of affairs at EGL. The demise of EGL is old news in the signage industry, however they way my sales rep was treated by the "pet rock": of a manager was the last draw. Do yourself a favor a do your signage business elsewhere.
