Provided by YP.comGoing to this school was a complete waste of time and money. It's a beautiful school, but no students were ever allowed to use the equipment or practice on real clients. There are much better schools in this area where you will actually learn something.
As a point of reference, Samantha (AKA Amanda) quit another local beauty school before enrolling in the Shenandoah Beauty Academy (SBA) and advised the Academy that she didn't learn anything at the other school. SBA is proud to report we have a 100% passing rate for students taking the State Board of Cosmetology exam, which speaks volumes for the Academy. Students who apply themselves and have positive attitudes will learn a great deal more than is required to pass the State Board of Cosmetology exam. Amanda quit SBA two thirds of the way through when she had just begun cutting client's hair and had she continued she would have been trained on all of the equipment before graduating. We encourage you to do your homework, visit all the local schools, talk to graduates, and then decide on the best school for you.
