I have been a customer of yours for over 25 years. I built my house in the subdivision Spring Creek Estates about 15 years ago and was pleased with the cost of PEC providing me with service. The cost was $1100.00 dollars. The five acres I bought was serveyd and divided, I am currently constructing a building and later hopefully another house. I called PEC and talked to an engineer about providing service to the undeveloped property. So an appointment was set up to have an engineer look over the property and estimate a cost for a new meter for the new building (200 amp service). The total length from road to shop is 300 feet. The engineer gave me a rough estimate, shocking $9,000.00 dollars. The board decided to make the customer pay for every nut bolt wire pole transformer and then charge you for service forever and you own none of the hardware. I see why PEC has a billion dollars on the books.I promise you this, I will vote the group that is in now out. This is not bad service

It is outrageous that we are charged a $20 availability fee and a $40.00 delivery fee and then the actual cost of the electricity. I know I know that they are the only game in town and therefore we are hostage. Imagine going into a restaurant where they charge you a $10 fee just to have the cooks available and $20 to have it bought to your table and then the menu price, no one would eat there.
