Concrete Safety Systems, founded in 1979, is a leading high-volume manufacturer of pre-cast concrete products for highway and industrial use. Initially, the primary products were related to highway safety and farming. In 1983, a 22,000-square-foot manufacturing and headquarters facility was built on 30 acres of land, halfway between Harrisburg and Allentown, Pa. The company provides barriers, noise walls, retaining walls and junction boxes. Concrete Safety Systems serves customers in the New York, Newark, N.J., Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington D.C. metropolitan areas. The company is approved to make products for the departments of transportation in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware, and the Maryland State Highway Administration.
