If you've traveled to Italy you'll know this place is spot on with their pizzas! It's an amazing place with good food & good people.

The Pines is my favorite Italian restaurant in the DC area. I've been going here for lunch and dinner since 1972, and it's kept its neighborhood feel. The welcome you get as a longtime patron is especially nice. The seafood's good, the pizza outstanding, and the eggplant parmigiana is the best anywhere. The pizza and parmigianas are made with whole tomatoes, not tomato sauce. And the house wine pairs well with the Southern Italian dishes.
