When my child was born she wouldn't eat enough to keep her alive. To save her life, my wife and I took her to a feeding clinic in Patterson NJ for a six week intensive effort to cure her failure to thrive. After we finished the Patterson program, Advent therapists continued her treatment until she was able to graduate from "Feeding Therapy." As a father, I never expected to go through what I did, but I am so very thankful for Advent for taking my daughter to "graduation."

It is very saddening to see such a negative and baseless review posted for a place that has been nothing but a blessing for our daughter and our entire family for over 3 years. We were sent to Advent by our 4 year old daughter’s psychologist after a scary diagnosis of Autism and a potential Processing Disorder. From initial meeting, to evaluation, to beginning therapy services, to continual therapy services; the therapists and office personnel have been the most shining examples of caring professionals that my husband and I have ever dealt with. They have worked as one, with our daughter and have transformed her from a little girl who used to sit in corners and rock to comfort herself in noisy situations . . . to a social little girl who interacts in a full, 1st grade classroom with minimal issues and discomforts. They have been her 2nd biggest advocates and supporters, right in line behind her father and I. I understand that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if you have a child that you are concerned about and feel that Advent MAY have been the place for you until you read the initial review on this site; for the sake of your child, please reconsider. Advent WILL be the best decision you could possibly make for their future.

Advent is the best kept secret in the Lehigh Valley. They provide individual and group therapy in a home-like setting. From the therapists to the people who work in the office, the people who work here are down-to-earth and truly care about the families they serve. They go above and beyond to provide quality care to their clients. Both of my sons receive therapeutic services through Advent and they both have made tremendous progress since they've been going there. My older son started going there almost 2 years ago and because of the progress he made, when our youngest son started needing help within the last year, we turned to Advent. Therapists go above and beyond to ensure that everyone that works with your child is "on the same page." They have attended IEP meetings at my older son's school to support our efforts with his school programming. When my youngest son was having alot of anxiety and difficulties adjusting to a new daycare setting, one of the therapists went out to observe him in this setting and coordinated the visit with the daycare staff to ensure that it did not disrupt their programming. I disagree with the post from 2009 about Carey Ann. She is top notch. Because of her efforts with my youngest son in his speech and language sessions with her, he was able to read BEFORE starting kindergarden!!! Carey Ann always works to bring out the best in both of my kids and challenges them to be the best that they can be. The skills that my boys have learned from their therapy sessions at Advent have carried over into their everyday lives. We are so grateful for all that Advent has done for our family.

My child has been receiving speech and ot at advent for some time now. I couldn't be happier. Advent is home-like, their place is warm and inviting. My child has caring, fun, and knowledgable therapists. They always fill me in and give me information every session. We work together to stay on track and they give my child everything necessary. Advent has spent many many hours working on insurance coverage and my insurance statements match up with times we were there. Fighting insurance is half the battle. I would recommend any friend or family member to recieve therapy there. I have told my friends who have concerns about their kids to go to Advent. Now my friends take their children to Advent. It's like a big family there. If you're looking for a good place to send your kid for therapy, you won't be sorry.

2 hour sessions that cannot be matched at any other facility! The therapists are absolutely fantastic with my child! Recommend to anyone! Best in the Lehigh Valley!
