I highly recommend this salon to all of my friends. I was one of Susie's first clients when she came to the area, and she's been my stylist almost exclusively for ten years. She was the first stylist I ever met that really understood what I wanted *and* what would look best on me. Her skills in cutting and coloring have no equal in this area, in my eyes. The salon is warm and inviting, and the entire staff is kind and professional. Sarah, her aesthetician, is wonderful, and really knows how to pamper. An hour in the facial room and you'll be a new person!



Susie and her staff work diligently to provide all of their clients with an experience uniquely tailored to their needs to make them feel as beautiful inside as they look on the outside. Her work for local brides is second to none. Check her reviews on sites like Groupon and The Knot if you have any doubts as to the level of skill and professionalism you'll encounter at Beautiful...by Susie. You won't be disappointed.

Before I stopped in, I checked the website to check their hours & to see if they require an appointment. They open at noon on Thurs & do not indicate that an appointment must be made. Based on the website, I decided to stop by the salon at 1 pm to get my eyebrows waxed. The salon was very quiet, maybe had one or two customers getting their hair done. Not only was I told they could not take me until 2:30pm and they do not accept walk ins for eyebrows (never heard of this before as my current upscale hair salon accepts walk ins), but the WAX WAS NOT EVEN HOT AT 1PM and the salon opened at 12!!!!! Susie the owner, told me in the most obnoxious way she could, that although they are open at 12, they do not need to be ready to take clients at that time. They already had an appointment for eyebrow waxing at 1:30 and they simply could not accommodate me. Mind you, I was there at 1pm and there was no one else waiting for waxing and the wax was not hot yet. Unfortunately, it is clear that this place is not equipped to take on clients & they have no clue how to run a business. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If they can’t get their waxing services together, then I can only imagine what other services are just as bad.

Susie was excellent. My girlfriend recently had a disasterous hair coloring experience at another salon. She went to several other places to try and get help, but even though the places were very highly rated, no-one was able to to anything other than tell her she had to cut her hair (which was really not a good thing to say!) or damage her hair further and still not get the color right. Susie was extremely understanding and up front. Not only was she able to correct the hair color and make it look much better, but as a certified redken specialist, she was able to use a chemical shot which helped her damaged hair. Susie also took the appointment at the last minute and stayed way later than what her normal hours were for the day, which was a big plus. At no point did she complain or even look at her watch. From my perspective, not only do I have a happy girlfriend again who looks so beatiful (she always does), but her prices were absolutely amazing. She is only a half mile away from American Hairlines, but the bill was easily 1/2 to 1/3 less than what they would have charged. I have never written a review for a hair stylist before, but for the amazing job susie did, and for her amazing personality, I think this is the least I could do to return the favor and the work she did.
