A Safe Harbor in Financial Storm Bethlehem Teachers Federal Credit Union ( BTFCU ) is secure and strong. We've been here since 1935. We're owned by our members who are the decision makers. There are no stockholders or outside investors, nor is BTFCU listed on Wall Street. Credit Unions cannot be bought and sold as commodities. Loans are made only to credit union members who are qualified borrowers. We are not engaged in risky lending practices. Credit Unions are the stewards of their members' hard-earned money and take that responsibility seriously.
