I am sorry to hear of Tracy's bad experience, but to my knowledge it is standard practice to perform refunds via the original form of payment and/or card that made the purchase. It is to protect the consumer from possible fraudulent actions, i.e lost/stolen/duplicated tickets. I know its a bummer to change banks especially when the account was used to make purchases for events in the future. However, in my opinion its not fare to blame Live Nation for trying to protect their consumers.

Don't buy tickets here

I tried to get a refund for a concert that was cancelled and spent hours doing so. When I originally bought the tickets for $159.80, I purchased them with my visa debit card. I have since then changed banks. According to Live Nation customer service, they will only refund the money to the card I used to purchase the tickets. They WON'T change the banking information or issue me a refund check. I was told it would be the responsibility of my previous bank to do so. When I stated to them that I work with electronic transactions and I know that it will be returned, I was told I would be out the money! I have never, ever heard of such a thing. They refuse to refund my money due to the concert being cancelled! I will never recommend Live Nation or use them again!
