My friends hired John Doherty to draw at a 40th birthday and this was a fantastic idea. He kept everyone entertained while we waited for the guest of honor to arrive and his caricartures are phenomenal, he really captured people. What an excellent idea! I asked my friend about the price for this and she said it was quite reasonable, considering that it's orginal art and your guests can take it home and hang it on their walls and have a souvenir of the party that they will always keep. I called him to book him for a party this summer and agreed with her that the price was very fair and I am excited to have see how my kids and friends and family look when he draws them. Anyway, I say if you are looking for something different, try this guy.

Great for your next party!: This was a great idea, John kept the kids and adults entertained as well as producing very realistic portraits that were the best party favor. Very reasonable price and he's incredibly fast. I did this for my husband's surprise party, it kept everyone entertained while we waited for the guest of honor to show up and then everyone loved watching him draw and comparing the portraits. I did black and white but he also works in color.
