Provided by YP.comLenny picked us up after we had an issue with car keys and was super friendly and accomodating. He even drove us the last mile or two on 2N10 dirt, bumpy road to help us out. Lenny saved our butts...6 stars for this HB + BB guy.

Provided by YP.comI don't write reviews very often but felt that I needed to support this company since I have a small business of my own.
I have flown into Big Bear airport many times and Big Bear Taxi has always picked me up within minutes of contacting them. I have read the reviews of others complaining about them but these people have to realize that it is a "feast or famine" in this town. As soon as there is snow, everyone goes there and expects taxis to be everywhere like in New York. They forget that the rest of the year it is quiet and therefore Big Bear Taxi can support only so many cars and drivers. So when contacting them, understand that they may be swamped and are trying their very best to help everyone and might be a little overwhelmed and stressed.
I am always polite and tip the drivers very well and every driver has been super friendly and accommodating. In fact the last time I was there (during the busiest ski day of the year so far) the driver contacted me and asked if I wanted to be picked up about 10 minutes sooner than expected. Excellent!!
Even more amazing was the fact that on my trip back to the airport, the car in front of us stopped and a woman jumped out in traffic in distress. It was a domestic dispute. Our driver asked the woman if she was alright and offered to drive the distraught woman to her destination after dropping us off. The woman had no purse or money or anything else to pay, but the driver helped her nonetheless. I can't think of any other taxi company that would ever do something as kind!
So give them a break and understand that their owner works hard from 6am to 2am during the busy season trying to get us all around town as best as they can.

Provided by YP.comCalled for a ride at 5:30 pm on a Sunday. Was told the cab would arrive within 30 minutes. After an hour I called back and was told they had no record of a request for a cab and that it would be one hour before a cab would arrive. At 7:30 I was told it would be two hours before a cab would be available. At 8:30 I managed to get a friend to pick me up.
This was on a Sunday evening during the ski season, so I'll give them a little slack, but really!

Provided by YP.comMy husband called for a taxi and they never even bothered to show up! When he called back after waiting a long time, to tell them to forget it, he'd walk, all they said was "sorry"...how ridiculous! BAD business and NOT reliable at all. So, If I could, I'd give it NO STARS, because they don't deserve even one. Leaving a person stranded 10+ miles away is horrible, especially after they said they would be there.

Provided by YP.comWe flew into the airport at Big Bear for New Years Eve and a day of skiing the next day and needed to get around town since we had no car and there aren't any rental cars at the private airport. I contacted the cab company prior to departing our local airport and told them about when I would land. They pulled up in under 5 minutes after landing and took us to our hotel. Later, we decided to call them again to go to a New Years Eve Party at Snow Summit and they were there within 10 minutes and took us right over. As we were driving there, a drunk woman in a group staggers out into the street right in front of our cab slurring, swinging at the cab, and blurting out for our driver to stop. Our driver politely pauses and tells the woman that someone will come for her promptly. I would not have been so polite! The driver (who I found out later was the owner of the company) even told us that drunk people have smashed her windows both from outside the cab and from inside too yet she keeps running the cab company! After the party ends, I texted the cab company for a ride back to hotel and they take a while but I expected that since it was now after midnight and everyone is trying to head out at the same time. When the driver pulls up, a group of people also walk up to my cab and wants the cab to drop them just down the street since their stop was on the way to my hotel anyhow. The driver tells them that it would cost them a full fare and they swear at him and yell that it is a rip-off then go staggering off (I own 2 businesses and can understand that they run a business not a charity). On New Years day I contact them again to take us to the airport to drop off luggage and then to Snow Summit for a day of skiing and once again they were there in under 10 minutes. Finally at the end of the day we contact them one more time and they were there in about 5 minutes. Another group walks up to the cab and they are heading to the airport as well so we share the ride. The sign in the cab states clearly that price for a full group is higher, yet the driver only charges all of us the price for 2 people and we split it costing us almost nothing. So my recommendation to you is to be polite to the people at this company since they have less than a dozen cars and really go out of there way to get to everyone as quickly as they can. It sure paid off for me to be polite.
