Dr. Ahmed has seen my son for 11 years now. I have only had a long wait one time, and in his defense it was flu season. The wait was long, but as all the parents I talked to agreed; at least he was accepting patients instead of turning them down and making patients go to the ER for care. He has never come into the room and seemed distracted or in a hurry. He has always answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns. He has always been very thorough. I have recommended him to everyone I know with children. If you have a child and want to feel that your child has had the best care available, then you should definitely feel safe in taking them to see Dr. Steve Ahmed.

We just moved to West Texas from Corpus Christi and needed a good pediatrician. There are none in the small town we live in, so we have to drive to either Big Spring or Sweet Water. Dr. Steve Ahmed was highly recommended by family and friends, so I decided to make an appointment for 2 of my 5 children. He is an exceptional doctor and I was more than pleased with him and would highly recommend him to anyone. The only complaint I heard from other waiting parents was the longer than usual wait. It was my first visit and didn't really know what to expect. We were there 4 hours total, the waiting room was packed and it was hot and uncomfortable. In his defense, he does have a large staff that I'm sure is responsible for booking the appointments and controlling the AC temperature. However, all in all, they were friendly and the facility was very clean and professional. My children were seen by Dr. Steve Ahmed personally. I was asked if it would be okay if they were seen by a Nurse Practicioner. At that point we were starving from the long wait and I told the nurse it didn't matter as long as my children were seen by someone.

Dr. Ahmed's a good doctor. unfortunately, quite often you only get to see the nurse practitioner and never get to see the doctor at all.
