Started in 1958, Goliad Intermediate School provides educational opportunities for students in grades five and six. The school s curriculum includes math, English, reading, science, social studies, art, music and physical education. It serves breakfast and lunch, as well as offers counseling and nursing services. In addition, Goliad Intermediate School operates a band and choir. The school maintains a library and computer laboratory. It administers the English as a Second Language program. Goliad Intermediate School also operates various organizations, such as Cavaliers and Junior Classics. The school is a part of the Big Spring Independent School District, which governs elementary and high schools.
