I have taken my animals to Dan and Sue for the past 12yrs.
They are very knowledgeable and informative. Sue is so sweet to talk with.
Dan is very talented.
The fact Dan will get your mount back to you in 3months or less, is absolutely amazing!
Their prices are not inflated by ego like all the others I have talked to and other taxidermist's times of over a year...come on!

I do not see any way a person could have any negativity towards Chaney's Taxidermy in Billings Montana.

I like his blunt straight forward approach to me. Simple and no B.S.

I will continue to give my business to the Chaney's. As I have done from my very first Muley buck, my wife's first Muley buck and all the other animals have taken to the Chaney's (Billings Mt)

Amazing job and got it done quicker then expected

This man (Chaney's in Billings MT) has been mounting my trophies for a number of years. I have been completely satisfied. I am disappointed in the negative reviews I have read for this is not the chatacter or talent I have experienced. There are two Chaney's Taxidermy businesses. One in WY and one in MT. Specify the one your are talking about.

Don't take anything here if you want it mounted nice. We have had two mounts done poorly by this place now. One was a mallard duck which has some sort of glue stuck to his feathers in places like the chest that looks like fingerprints, got mounted wierd with how his back is shaped, tail feathers weren't spread right, and the job on the eyes wasn't great either. He also botched a whitetail mount for us by using a form that was too small and trying to just gather the hide and remove excess to make it fit. All that did was distort all the deer's features and make him look like he was wearing an antler hat. It seriously looks like a mutant deer. When confronted about how the issues he refused to acknowledge anything was wrong (even though he had a good taxidermist confirm our suspicions) and did nothing to follow through on his "100% satisfaction guarantee". He did not fix it, he did not refund us, and he didn't apologize. If I could give negative stars I would. I was VERY pissed with our "service" here and he ruined the mount of my first nice whitetail buck. We ended up taking the deer to another taxidermist to have it done right. Don't waste your time on this place if you want your mount to look good.
