Compassion Montana is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based out of Billings, Montana. We exist to provide assistance needed to make volunteering possible for people who are willing to give their time and use their talents to help where they are needed most. We assist by matching or covering a portion of travel expenses necessary to complete a disaster relief or humanitarian mission. In some cases, we will provide aid supplies if they are needed. Disaster Relief At its core, the purpose of humanitarian action is to save the lives and ease the suffering of people caught in acute crises, thereby restoring their ability to rebuild their lives and communities. From the destruction of buildings to the spread of disease, natural disasters can devastate entire countries overnight. Tsunamis, earthquakes and typhoons do not just wreak havoc on land; they also disrupt peoples lives in both densely populated cities and remote villages.
