The Office of Public Assistance is one of the divisions of the government of Yellowstone County, Mont., that provides case management, referral and nutritional education services. Located in Billings, Mont., the division also offers food and clothing for low-income individuals and families. In addition, the Office of Public Assistance provides the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP), which includes winter heating, energy crisis management and home repair assistance services. The division is a unit of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, which provides individual protection and technology application services. The department s rehabilitation programs include job placement, transportation, career counseling, and physical and mental restoration services.
