Provided by YP.comWe had two family members live at Primrose over the years. My aunt resided there until her death. Everyone at Primrose became family. My aunt liked to joke and they joked with her. She was able to play the piano and at times she would have a beer, which was a real treat to her. She could be cranky but they always saw her through those moments. Overall they brought her much happiness in the final years of her life. She passed away at Primrose and it was like having a big, caring and sharing family there with me on the day she passed. Later my mother resided at Primrose. She was very well cared for but as time went by she rapidly developed worsening Alzheimer's. My brothers did not feel it was fair to the staff to have one resident that was totally dependent upon them 24/7. We moved her to a memory care home where she has done well. I don't think any home could have a more personal, family, caring attitude than what Primrose does. Cyndi runs it well and is kind to the residents. She has so many special occasions for them. I would recommend Primrose to anyone other than those in the condition my Mother is in. She still lives with Alzheimer's and I don't think there is any good way to live with it. But the memory care she is in is good to her. In a larger facility you do not find the hominess that Primrose has but we still enjoy family times in her present home. I had prayed she could remain at Primrose until her death, and they would have kept her. We just did not feel it was fair to those working at Primrose. Thank you to Cyndi and all of the staff for what you have given to our family. I did not know this page existed or I would have posted earlier. Hang on as I may come sliding in there one of these days. Your residents are fortunate folk.

Provided by YP.comWe have recently placed my dad at Primrose. He suffers from Dementia. He also suffers from depression and anxiety. When he was at home, my mom was the sole caregiver and she was wearing out. Primrose has been a Godsend to our family! Cyndi and her staff are loving and respectful to my dad and all the residents. They respond to needs efficiently and with true care and concern! As a result, my dad is adjusting well and my mom is regaining her health. Primrose is a true family facility and we are happy to be part of that family!

Provided by YP.comMy mother was at Primrose. The care was excellent. The food was great they would cook for her special things she liked to eat because she liked a lot of vegetables they cooked fresh vegetables for her from my garden when they were in season . She didn't always want to leave her room to eat so they made her plate and brought it to her. One of the care givers would sit and knit with mom because mom had a little stroke and forgot how to knit esactly. The folks there were so attentive and kind, it was like being home for her. When mom had a medical problem and was transported to the hospital, the folks weren't able to get a hold of me right a way, wo Cindy went to the hospital and stayed with mother until I got there. That is going above an beyond what other homes do for sure and Cindy did that twice for mom and me. It was a good experience at Primrose for our family and for my mother.

Provided by YP.comMy father was one of Primrose's first residents. He lived there for three years and loved to show people 'his home'. He encouraged others to come to live there and told them about the great restaurant (meaning the kitchen at Primrose).
Primrose's decor is purposefully the type that my parents had in their home. The home has been remodeled since then to better meet the needs of the residents, but still keeps the 'familiar' atmosphere of home for the residents.
Cyndi and her staff always treated my father and family with great respect. A garden was created so my father could work in it, with our permission. We held his 80th birthday party as an open house there as that is where he felt most comfortable and safe.
Families need to find the right fit for their loved ones and Primrose was that fit for my father.

Provided by YP.comSince 2005 we have had two family members reside at Primrose. There hasn't been any reason for major concern over the care or well being of our family members. They are fed home cooked meals that taste good and according to our family that is important. If a resident wants to clean or help with any small chores, the staff lets them do so, it is part of the process of allowing them to feel important and needed. If there is a situation needing family intervention or help, the staff call as quickly as possible. It may not be scrubbed and spotless or sterile, ..however, when considering the care, the love and the fact our family member thinks they are "home" and the staff is their extended family...does it really matter if the place is spotless? do sterile spotless homes have an advantage over Primrose, no! one family member lived in 2 other well known places, yes, spotless and strict rules, ..and yet, our family member hated them both....the food was not good, the care so-so, and some of the staff lacked respect for the fact this person is a human being,..nothing to write home about, a move was requested both times by our family member.. Sometimes you give up a little to get the better overall...I feel Primrose does an above average job at caring for their residents. They give the resident love, respect, and care. They let the resident have a decision in their care and even in the meals that are prepared daily.

Provided by YP.comMy mother was under the care of Primrose Assisted Living for 2 years. Placing her w/Primrose came about after trying other facilities and finding this one to have the best "home" type atmosphere. The bedrooms were always neat and clean, the kitchen always had something good cooking for the residence and the care-givers really loved my mom. For the first year, I was there every other day and the last year, as the end approached, I was there every day. I had an upclose and personal view of the care and the cleanliness of the place. And I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
Above and beyond the sweet and special care Primerose provided, I witnessed all sorts of upkeep and improvement activities such as repainting and tiling the kitchen, laying down hard wood floors in the common areas, re-roofing and re-gardening the outdoors. My family and I have attended music gatherings, picnics and birthday parties sponsored by Primrose and have some of the best memories because of these events. The staff, Cori, Ida, Dee, Hunter and all the others whose names I can not recall, and esp. the owner, Cyndi all are to be commended for making Primrose that special place the last two years of my mom's life.

Provided by YP.comMy sister lived at Primrose for 5 years and she liked living there very much. She was always treated with respect, caring and love by the entire staff. We recieved an accurate and detailed accounting of all expenditures from her funds every month. Cyndi and staff were always helpful and responsive to our sister and our every request made concerning her care and well-being. I recommend Primrose be on your list when looking for a care facility.

Provided by YP.comWe are in the process of looking for an assisted living place for our Mom and visited Primrose unannounced a few weekends ago.
We walked in to the place, without knocking and we were immediately greeted by a young lady. She asked if she could help us and we told her we were looking for a facility and she said please come in and I will show you around. She showed us every bathroom, all of which were clean and easy to access. She let us look in every bedroom, unless there was someone sleeping and they were all very clean and neat. If one of the residents required help she would very politely and quickly excuse herself to go help their needs then come back to us.
One of the nurses was sitting at the kitchen table with 2 other residents and they were playing a game. Another resident had just finished with a snack and wanted to go sit down in the living room, so again she quickly excused herself to help the resident in to the living area.
Overall I would highly recommend this Primrose, as they treat you like you are one of the family and have the utmost respect for the residents privacy and dignity.
