My first time in Sam & Louies won't be my last. I've worked in pizza restaurants for about 7 years for three different chains, so I know a good pizza when I eat one, and Sam & Louie's is pretty darned good. They cut the veggies up pretty small, I would say, so they don't tear your piece apart as you eat it. Everyone knows what a drag it is to bite into an onion or a piece of green pepper and have half of the cheese and toppings slide off the slice and cover your shirt, so the diced veggies are a plus in my book. S&L's sauce is semi-sweet, and the onions seem to be too, so they create a nice zing when eaten in combination. It reminds me of Shakeys Pizza from back in the day. They also have gluten free options for the folks who are gluten intollerant. The atmosphere is nothing special, and the staff seemed to be composed exclusively of college and high school aged kids, but service was on the spot, the drinks were topped off and our waitress checked back with us consistently.
