I will NEVER take any of my pets to MOORE LANE VETERINARY HOSPITAL again!!! Last week my dog got into a porcupine, so I ran him down there to get them taken out. Dr. Jill Houk took care of him. Apparently he woke up from anesthesia just fine, but when someone finally checked on him an HOUR later, he was dead. Somehow he had bilateral pneumothoracies that weren't detected?! Dr. Houk called me with the terrible news and said they would cover his cremation. My kids and I went down there and said our goodbyes. Through my tears, I paid the bill without looking at it. I finally pulled it out today and saw that they charged me for his cremation. I called and talked to a vet tech, who talked to Dr. Houk, and I guess she doesn't remember telling me that at all and won't refund my money. I work in the operating room, and I know things can happen, but from start to finish MOORE LANE VETERINARY HOSPITAL has left a bad taste in my mouth.
