100 % agree with other review except I prefer Shipton's Big R Service Center. Weeks after dropping mower off, I called Tom's several times and got blown off. Went down to pick it up and it was buried under a pile of others. Now it sits on the street for sale.

If you need your gear soon, don’t waste your time… it took him 15 days (including my repeated calls and visits) to simply sharpen a mower blade and tune a trimmer.



Expect big time sticker-shock…100 bucks for the above service. But now, I understand his operation. He’s got a sidewalk full of mowers and trimmers that he claims people “donated” to him (he wouldn’t even look at my perfectly operating old mower, let alone make an offer for it). So, here’s how I think he operates… he charges a non-itemized service/repair fee that he estimates will exceed the value of the device…surprise, surprise… most of his customers say it’s not worth the repair cost and tell him to keep it… He wins big time. Not too difficult to understand, is it?



I’d like to support the “little guy” but not if it includes being ripped off…I’m going to ACE Hardware next time.
