The Chenango Valley Board of Education approves and adopts the annual school budget; approves financial reports; approves job appointments and resignations; and establishes school policies. The Chenango Valley Board of Education is a part of the Chenango Valley Central School District, which offers educational classes to students in kindergarten through grade 12. The Chenango Valley Central School District offers various sports programs that include basketball, cross-country, baseball, softball, volleyball, and track and field. The school district provides an academic program that focuses on the development of reading, language arts and math skills in lower grades. It also teaches history, geography and science. The school district additionally provides instruction in computer applications, music, industrial arts, and health and physical education in higher grades.
