My physician is Dr. Larry Gazzini. I have been going there for several years on an average of twice a year. I have found his staff to be accommodating and efficient. My usual wait is about 10 minutes, barely enough to fill out the paperwork required. Dr. Gazzini is knowledgeable and listens carefully to my issues. On a few occasions, I have requested a referral to a specialist. Never have I been disappointed in those physicians. Even though I've moved 1 1/2 hours away, I intend to continue going to this caring professional.

Dr. Shepherd has been my doctor since he first came to Brookwood Medical Group before moving to Brookwood Internist. In the past year every time that I call and try to get an appointment with him I am kept on hold for an average of 30 minutes. When someone finally comes to the phone she tells me, "Well if you are sick go to the ER ," and does not give me an appointment, not everyone makes the money that she makes and can afford to go to the ER in addition to it costing my insurance company much more for me to go to the ER. I had bronchitis and they refused me an appointment, a month later I had pneumonia and they refused me an appointment. I love the doctor that I have but I cannot continue to put up with the way that the people in the office treat their patients. I know that I am not the only one who feels this way because I have 2 co-workers who were treated the same one by the people there

This is undoubtedly the WORST physicians office in Birmingham!!!!! Not only is the front office staff rude and incompetent, but there is NO communication between staff, nurses and doctors! You are put on hold even in an emergency, and wait wait wait for a prescription to be filled. I can't express how disappointed I am!!! and will be looking for another doctor immediately!
