I brought my JL Audio 12w5 to have the foam surround replaced. Debated doing it myself but was worried that I might make a mess with the glue. And for $60 might as well let a professional do it (or so I thought). I tell the young guy working the counter, I am dissatisfied with the very poor job they have done on my very rare speaker. He takes offense to it and says he's been doing this for only 2 years and doesn't know how to respond. So luckily the owner pulls up or (so I'm thinking).Well I show it to owner and he doesn't see anything wrong with it.I show him the glue and the streaks left from what ever chemical they use to clean the cone and it smudged the JL Audio logo on the dust cap. Then the owner asks me if I expected it to look factory!Of course that's why I brought it to a professional or so I thought.Moral of the story is if mediocre work is good enough,he may b ur guy but if u got rare speakers that u want to look nice I would suggest a Professional who cares about quality.
