Provided by YP.comNot only did they do an excellent job on my car, but they were the lowest price out of (4) different estimates, and they completed it before anyone else could even take it. Can't recommend them enough!

Provided by YP.comHuffstutler Paint & Body did an EXCELLENT job on my truck. In fact, it is better than it ever was before the wreck. Each person I dealt with was very professional and courteous. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone needing body work to their vehicle.

Provided by YP.comHello everyone!
Huffstutler body shop is unprofessional and irresponsible!
I took my BMW 5 series and all needed parts for complete repair to the Huffstutler body shop on 12/09/13 and have been promised it will be repaired in aprox. two weeks. six weeks later (01/22/14) they told me I can get my car back, but when I got there my car was apart, all needed parts for repair were not in the car anymore, my steering wheel was off center, active steering light on and exterior and interior were very dirty. Jemie Huffstutler' (owner) said that technician who worked on my car quit in the middle of the repair and he was guessing that cleaning people threw all my parts away, but he said don't worry he will find or buy needed parts to complete repair. Five weeks later 02/25/14 they refuse to buy needed parts for repair and their manager said he has no time to order parts for me and he was even yelling at me at times. Jemie Huffstutler said he is not going to complete repair because he already spend to much money bying parts. So they returned my car to me after three month instead of promissed two weeks, with missing parts very dirty not aligned with active steering light on the dash. So they took my $2250 for complete repair but they never completed it and I had to spend additional $800 on parts $200 on detailing and $180 for alignment. also after diagnosis I found my active steering light was on because of the damaged module software ( my guess because they shorted or didn't maintain battery properly). fortunately I could programm module with my laptop after what my steering wheel went to center by it's self and steering light went away ( program module at the dealership could be around $200).

Provided by YP.comI have used Huffstutler Paint and Body for the last 8 years on a number of my cars and I have sent all my friends, that want there car back in a reasonable time to them. My family has been around this sort of industry for over 25 years and we have never had any , no not one single problem , from Mr Huffstutler or his staff. its very nice to go in to the front door knowing your going to see the same people every time . that's very comforting for my wife and daughters to have a nice man in the Birmingham area that will stop at a drop of the hat to help them when I'm out of town on business . People don't read or believe everything from one experience, take my advice he hasn't been there for 25 plus years doing it the wrong way COME ON

Provided by YP.comIt is bad to have a wreck, but the good thing is that Huffstutler can fix it. I have used Huffstutler to repair all four of my vehicles over the past two years and have been perfectly satisfied with every job. They have been courteous, helpful and prompt in returning our cars to us. They have at times gone beyond what was required to help us, such as in the ice storm two years ago, putting themselves at risk to tow our car in. I would highly recommend Huffstutler Paint and Body.

I took my car there for a simple repair. I hit a dog and it caused damage to the under part of my car. They had to remove the bumper to repair the damage. When I went pick up the car the crease between the bumper and the fender was big enough to put my finger in and when I pushed on it the sides of the bumper pushed out further. I asked them about this and they pushed it in with their knee. They didn't remove the bright white stickers from the black ground work on the bottom of my car. I ask them remove the stickers and they made me wait on hour and still left white bits of stickers on the car and said they repaired the bumper. I left and by the time I got home the bumper had popped back out. I called them the next day and they said that I must have hit a parking block or a curb but I could bring it back in and they would look at it. I was so mad since they knew it was doing that when I left. When I returned they wanted to charge me for clips to hold the sides of my bumper tite. I paid it after much debate but it still wasn't at tite as it was before the accident. The worse part is I know the owners family personally and I was still treated horribly. My car is all factory with no after market parts so this should have been an easy repair. My car still isn't repaired correctly but its just not worth going there and being treated poorly or telling his Mom Sandra about it. Its just sad that you get such bad service from people you thought you could trust and learn that the don't stand behind their work and have no pride in their business.
first of all we have never let anyone wait an hour for anything. we have 17 people who work hard here to earn a living for their families. i am the owner and i do not know who you are so that is the main issue i have . if you have any real issues please call me personally i would love to speak with you 205-252-1265 jamie huffstutler

i know i'm writing this late but i never thought of posting this to help someone until now.
i was in an auto accident in sept. my car was hit from behind and was damaged pretty bad. i took it to the dealership where i bought it and had them run an estimate. they gave me the price and it was definitely a fine cost. i had to wait for the other driver's insurance company to call me though to see what i could do before i have it worked on. sure enough the insurance agent (who was just as a bad an agent as this business) told me that they could immediately take my car to be picked up from my house and taken to huffstutler to be fixed within a week. the agent persuaded me by saying the parts on my car would be guarenteed for as long as i owned the car. so i decided to take it to huffstutler because who would want to keep fixing a car for free??
i was soooo very wrong..
when i got my car back in 2 weeks instead of one, i could already tell something wasn't right. say you have a piece of plastic, lets say a pen top. whenever you bend the pen top then straighten it back out, you still see where the plastic was bent at because it's white in that area. well thats how the insdie of my car looked. the plastic had all the bent white spots in it. i asked both the agent and mechanic why it was like that and they said it was because they used the original plastic. i couldnt believe it! i questioned how safe it was and they just looked at me and said it was just as good. the mechanic told me that they couldn't replace it because the plastic hadn't been punctured. so i began looking around the rest of my car and noticed that every single plastic aligning the doors could pop off with one little lift. the vehicle i own is a small suv and the back door lifts up. when i opened it, it made a real funny noise. he told me it was the pressure in the bars that open it. now i know i'm a woman and may not know much about cars but that did not sound like pressure. it sounded like a creaking noise... and also they left black glue residue all over the inside, top part of my car. luckily they got off the glue but i didn't understand why they couldn't fix that instead of leaving it there for me to see and complain about. both men kept reassuring me that this is all normal even though i don't ever remember it being like this especially since i had just bought the car 7months before.. so since i could see things that were not fixed, i was very curious to find out what other parts weren't.
i went back to the dealership that originally saw my car both before i bought it and the day of the wreck... they couldn't believe what they saw. first off they didnt even attach the bumper. it was on there but it wasn't even locked in place so it just would've folded in if anyone were to hit me again. secondly, the very end of my frame was bent and instead of straightening it they simply sprayed thick black spray paint on it so it would look straight. third, my door that was making the noise was not pressure but instead the top of the door rubbing against the body of my car because they didn't align it correctly.. these were the major problems as well as many others.
to put into perspective: the dealership originally told me about $7,500 worth of repair was needed. huffstutler said just barelly making $5,000 worth of repair. when i took it back to the dealership to fix what huffstutler didnt the repair cost was still $5,000 to fix what they did and didn't do. so now my car is going to show $10,000 worth of repair which makes for an awful report. i tell this story all the time and warn everyone..
say NO TO HUFFSTUTLER!!
i am the owner and have never heard of this ,we have always put customer first and insurance at bay due to the issue just like this here . to my knowledge we have never sent a transport truck from here with a car on it that the insurance man himself did not look at due to expense. please if you would like to discuss this issue further i would welcome your call been here for 25 years and repair over 125 cars a month from all over the area 205-252-1265 jamie huffstutler

Provided by YP.comMy car was taken to Huffstutler's for front end damage that occurred in an auto accident. When I got my car back there were many things that were not repaired properly. I had to take it to the dealership where I had recently purchased the car and have then do all the work over again - the correct way. The owner told me that he personally went over all the repairs "with a fine tooth comb" before it left his shop and that all was good. He tried to tell me that anything wrong with the car must have happened when the car was en route to my house as it was delivered by an auto transport company. I wouldn't recommend this body shop to anyone, poor workmanship

Provided by YP.comI took my car to Huffstutler for some body work and a new paint job. I was comforted by the fact that the shop had been open since 1953 and that it was a family-run business. I was quoted a very reasonable price and left my car with the shop feeling confident and excited that my car would be taken care of and would look like new.
The finished product was a disappointment. The body work was pretty decent, but the paint job left much to be desired. There was overspray on my driver's side window, moderate orange peel over the entire car, cracks in the paint by the roof trim, and pinholes in a few areas from solvent in the paint itself escaping. After a blister developed on one of my side mirrors, I decided to take the car back to see if the shop would be willing to fix the problems. The owner offered to repaint the mirror and rebuff the car (for the orange peel). I agreed and picked my car up the next day. The orange peel was slightly better and the mirror had indeed been repaired. The cracks near the roof trim had been touched up with clear coat and the owner assured me that the paint wouldn't peel. If it did, he said, he would fix it. This wasn't extremely reassuring for me, but I decided to leave well enough alone and not insist on perfection. However, over the next week or so, I noticed distinctive marks in the clear coat that are called holograms. These marks are wavy swirls left behind by the improper use of a rotary buffer. I was very frustrated, but decided at that point that taking the car back a third time probably wouldn't result in my satisfaction and would only waste everyone's time.
A few weeks passed as I read about paint correction and how I could go about bringing the car's appearance up to my standards. I couldn't get past the fact that they had made such a mistake and it bothered me to think that they assumed that I was another happy customer. When I called the owner to register my disappointment with the paint job, he tried to tell me that I simply needed to wax the car and the marks would be gone. I felt insulted by this recommendation. Wax would help to mask the marring that the buffer inflicted, but the bottom line is that those marks shouldn't be there in the first place. The only way to fix them is to polish the paint down so that the tiny scratches are gone. The owner basically admitted that they applied a glaze to hide the imperfections and told me that I just needed to cover them up some more. He offered to take a look at the car to see if he thought it needed to be polished again, but I told him that I would just prefer to fix it myself at this point.
All in all, I am incredibly disappointed with Huffstutler Paint and Body and would highly suggest that potential customers look elsewhere for their paint jobs.
customer brought car in with her father wanting very inexpensive paint job. she was advised that if we do everything she wanted it would be a certain price , she informed me that was out of her budget , however she still wanted us to paint car but wanted to leave a bunch of work undone where she could keep in budget, shop agreed to modify repairs and owner ,father and shop was on same page . until see picked up car and wanted everything done for modified price thats when she started this campaign to hurt shop . the only thing i regret is not sticking to our guns and just letting her go to a lesser place to get paint work done . she got more than she paid for after shop water sanded and buffed all over twice to try and make her happy . the car was in real bad shape and i understand she had a budget however shop should have never gave in to try and help 205-252-1265 jamie huffstutler owner
