This dance school is excellent. As a former dancer, I had been quite dismayed at the dance schools in the Birmingham area. Finally, there is a place for my daughter to get professional quality dance training. The school is run by the Eisenhower Dance Ensemble which is the most noteworthy dance company in the state. The dancers in the company teach many of the classes, so you are getting highly skilled dancers as teachers. What impresses me the most is the knowledge that my daughter's teacher has about anatomy...this is something I learned way too late in my career and is still not taught properly at most dance schools. I don't have to worry that my daughter will have to unlearn bad habits from bad training. The atmosphere of the school is relaxed, fun and positive, but not so relaxed that the kids don't get a sense of discipline and hard work. The children seem to be having a great time while they are learning and improving. The bottom line is my daughter looks forward to going and I have seen her improve dramatically. Five Stars!
