We chose to stay at the Country Inn & Suites on our wedding night. Because we were busy during the day, my personal attendant checked us in and dropped off our bag. By the time we got to the hotel at 1:30 in the morning, we were exhausted but wanted to utilize the whirlpool in our suite. As we lifted the towels and chocolate kisses off the front of the whirlpool, we first noticed two pubic hairs by the knobs. I then looked into the whirlpool and saw another curly pubic hair. My husband decided to turn on the water, out of curiosity's sake, since at this point we most definitely weren't going to use it. As he did, a glob of hair about the size of a golf ball came out of the drain. At this point, I called the front desk. After I explained the situation, the attendant said "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" REALLY??!!?? We had already checked the bed, and the sheets were clean, so I simply asked for a discount on the room. The attendant said she wasn't sure about it but would let the morning manager know. After we hung up the phone, I decided to enter the bathroom. I looked at the shower and saw a long head hair in it, so at this point I was afraid to turn on the water to see what else was lurking. We were exhausted and needed to crash, so we slept for a few hours, and when we got up in the morning, the person at the front desk said she would only be able to take $50 off of our nights stay, even after we explained that we couldn't utilize the shower either. As we stood there with my wedding dress and his tux in hand, she said that she would have the manager call us the next day and she would see if he could take anything more off our bill. The next day came and went, and at ten minutes to 5pm, I decided to have my husband call the manager. He started off on the wrong foot by telling us that he was far too busy to deal with us that day, then asked my husband what he would do in that situation. What he didn't know was that my husband was a front desk manager at a hotel. My husband said we should at least get that horrible night for free, and that he would also offer another free night's stay to show the customer that they can do better. The manager said that this was not possible but he would take half off of what was left after our previous discount. What a joke!!! What horrible management, what horrible housekeeping!! What a horrible hotel. Don't make the same mistake we did. If you are looking for a water slide for your kids, go to the Ramkota or the Seven Seas.

This hotel is set up great for kids. We have a 1 year old and a 3 year old and this is by far our favorite place in Bismarck and Mandan to stay at when we need to. The rooms are suite style and have hide-a-beds, which is nice for kids to be in the living room area. One in a provided by hotel pack and play and the other in the couch bed. There is also a nice pool area that has a large slide that empties into the deep pool and a kiddie pool that has bubblers and a mushroom waterfall.

I have stayed in alot of hotels and even a country suite. This is by far the best hotel I have stayed at. Super nice staff. Very clean spacious room. Also very clean pool area. My kids LOVED it. Breakfast was good. This staff went out of their way to accommodate my family and make our stay perfect!

After a last minute trip to Bismarck to officiate a funeral my 58 year old father who is a pastor in Billings stayed at this hotel hoping to rest and relax with his 3 young adopted children and his wife. The desk lady some how got it into her head that they had snuck a dog in. After my father had been asleep for over an hour and the lights had been out, the lady at the desk,(I will be getting her name), came to there room with another hotel worker and searched the room, they found no dog. Then they asked my mother, who was dressed for bed to take them to the parking lot and show them that the dog was in the car!! This frusterated my parents of course! After being treated like criminals and called liars they decided to just drive the 7 hours back to Billings through the totally exhausted. My dad has been sick and exhausted since this whole awful ordeal. What makes this thing worse is that they added 200 dollars 2 the bill! They NEVER had a dog in the hotel.

This Hotel was the Best! We had a wonderful stay.Their free breakfast was great. Saved us about $75.vs buffet breakfast at another hotel ! The Staff and Management were so warm and wonderful. Made you feel like you were at Home! I love this place. Would certainly recommend to anyone traveling in the Bismarck area. Nice big rooms, great decor, SUPER comfy beds and nice fluffy down filled comforters, just great for snuggling down in on a cold winters night. The kids LOVE the pool & slide, the best one we've stay at yet, will definitely come back and stay and play again.
