Problems getting service after install - Upset about service

Purchased a new home with Front Street cabinets and windows in October 2012. Called them before the purchase to fix the window and look at cabinets (one had a big dent in it, the edges were rough cut and looked bad.) They ordered a new window but said it had to maintain 30 degrees outside to put it in. Meanwhile the new homes around us are getting windows put in all winter long. Is that because they want to do my house right, that they don't have time now? Why put in other homes? Someone looked at the cabinet with the window but nothing was done. It took me calling back after several weeks before they would send someone out to look at cabinets again. I took a day off work to meet the guy, then I get a call that day saying they weren't going to make it over and they would call me to schedule another appointment....no call though. I called back and had a guy stop in. The service rep said the cabinets were bad and he would not have accepted them in his home....he would let the people at Front Street know of the issue and they would let me know what could be done...no call back. We are in about January 2013, and I called about the status of the cabinets. They have ordered a replacement and I can have a touchup (basically a paint pen) or put plywood over the existing sides of cabinets (I went with paint pen to see what it would look like). No follow ups. In the cold winter one of our windows was leaking so much air it was blowing a plant around. Front street came out, took a plastic spacer out of one window that they didnt take out on install and said the other window was defective. They would order another window. Suddenly a front street millwork truck arrives at my house and drops off a cabinet. Its been sitting in my basement...no call back. By this time (Late February 2013), I am getting sick of not getting things taken care of and chasing down these people to see what is going on. I call the cabinet lady and ask to get an apt to get everything installed and done....she didn't know the cabinet was dropped off at my house already. She said she would call back with appointment to come to my home and do the fix of cabinet and windows. No call for a few days. Just got a call from Todd stating somone will come out to my home Wednesday to install the cabinet and window..."OK, but is that both windows" (the cracked and leaky window). He sounded surprised about the leaky window, and stated "if it's in." I have heard so many positive things about Front Street, and you certainly pay a good price for their product. I am EXTREMELY disapointed in their service after the fact. Maybe since Bismarck/Mandan is developing so much they are busy with new installs. Thats fine, but take care of the people who already spent thousands of dollars. We are finishing our basement and contemplated cabinets in bathroom to match upstairs. After this experience with Front Street, we will be purchasing a vanity from Menards. Its just worth the months of headache and lack of communication. Maybe if this is righted I will update the comment. Good luck!
