Provided by YP.comWe had Preferred Heating and Air install a furnace and heater combo about 5 years ago. Just this past month I called Kevin, and mentioned to him that our furnace is having issues and that I have troubleshot the problem, and can’t seem to repair it. Kevin replied to me that he thinks it’s a particular sensor/ switch (even though the red trouble light on the furnace board was blinking 4 times, indicating on the sticker label a “High limit switch open”) whatever that means. I got busy, and had my wife call a few weeks later when our furnace was malfunctioning again. She picks up this new sensor from Kevin, I install it, and we still have the same issues.
At this point Im starting to wonder why I AM troubleshooting a furnace, and why the company who installed it, just won’t come out to service their work.
My wife called again, and somehow did not get a scheduled day for service, but she did get told how much they would charge by the hour, plus miles, and other fees.
Im a bit upset now, We live in North Dakota, I have 3 small children, and night time winter temperatures get to be Negative -10 to- 30 deg. easily. Im running 3 electrical Wal-Mart space heaters just to keep the house at 64deg.
So I called today, and left a message. I get a call right back, and I simply mention to Kevin if he cant get a chance to service his work , I need to know, so I can get a different company to service his furnace install.
To make a long story short, Im looking for a new furnace repair company to service us.
Im in the service industry too, and it does not matter if it’s been 5 days, or 5 years. I will always give my customer the benefit of the doubt, and at least show my face, and service my work.
Thanks for the free pressure switch btw.
