Provided by YP.comLove this place! Love the people who run it, too. They treat you like family here. Good food and good company, a local favorite.

Provided by YP.comThai Basil is a great asset to the town of Black Mountain. It is a lovely, peaceful place to enjoy a healthy meal on their patio. The food is fabulous. I've noticed someone is slandering this wonderful place on here, so I joined up to set the record straight. I am a local who walks to Thai Basil on a regular basis, and it is absolutely a lie about the service. The waiter even taught me his beautiful reverent gesture of a namaste greeting when I asked him too, after receiving that courtesy for many months. Thai Basil is wonderful, peaceful, and good.

Provided by YPmobileWe were very excited to try this place while visiting. What a mistake! The servers were rude and the food was bad. Save your money.

Provided by YPmobileBad food, bad service, bad attitude and way over priced. Do yourself a favor and heat up some Raman Noodles. At least you can enjoy those.

I only gave one star because I couldn't find a way to do less. We were served food with bugs in it and the staff got pissed off when we told them. Next time you think about going there do yourself a favor. Walk into your bathroom, pull out $70 dollars and flush it down the toilet. This way you want have you and your family sick at their stomach from seeing insects in their food. Just for fun sometime look up their last three health inspections on the county site. You'll see what I'm talking about. Ecccccck!

Provided by YP.comIt was with great pleasure to hear Black Mountain would offer authentic Thai food. Shocking news. The cook adds tomatoes and carrots to many of the the dishes. Anyone who knows their food knows that these ingredients are not part of Thai cooking. Worse, they detract from any flavor the dish might have had that might have been authentic. Also, no matter how often one orders "spicy," the dish remains bland.
So, unfortunately, this restaurant is one I could not recommend to clients.
Warm Greetings, Patrice T.
