Danielle the "manager" was so rude cursing me out on the phone only because I asked information about the owner. Their tag line is that they won't even tell u the owners name. I can't wait to report this business to the SC business association and BBB.

Provided by YP.comMy dad ordered a part from them and a week later they still didn't have it. I finally found a cheaper, ships the same day part online. I will never order a part from CarGuts ever again!

Provided by YP.comI have never placed a bad review on line, never! I was looking for a Mercedes front end. Hood, both fenders and a bumper cover. I called they were very nice and said they had these parts. I asked if I could see the parts before they were pulled and they said yes "no problem". I drove over an hour, when I got there they couldn't find the car!!! Edward was going to look again and call me, didn't happen. I called the next day and they hung up on me. I read the reviews so I wasn't expecting much but this was real bad.

Provided by YP.comDO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! After purchasing a defective transmission from this company I had to call 5 times to get an answer about returning it. I sent my 17 and 15 year old sons to return it and the representative CURSED my son using terrible profanity and accused him of returning a part that wasn't purchased there. After they removed the cover to find the carguts stamp on their defective item, they did refund my money, but what company allows employees to curse young children? We will never do business with this company again. I should have heeded the other reviews online.

Provided by YP.comI. stay far away. Bought a suburban tail gate , one hour damage, came with top crushed ,BURNED INDISE AND OUT paid 750$ for it, sent it back got credit for 350. They kept 400 for shipping and restocking. big con game
Sounds like family owned with imbreeding I wish I read the reviews before I delt with Danielle. Car- parts should black ball them , gives used parts a very bad name

Provided by YP.comif you think these guys have bad online customer service and slow on shipping the parts out, wait till you come to their "LOCATION" ! its a one nasty, dirty place !!! yes its junk yard , but for the respect of a customer- CLEAN UP THE DAMN "office", get these smelly dogs out of there....but after all they got 1 thing right! its their business name CARGUTS, lmao the name says it all !

Provided by YPmobileDo NOT order from these people!!! I was told I would get my motor in 3 weeks. It's been over a month and it won't be here until late NEXT week!! The "manager" is very rude and spoke to me like I was a child, told me to just cancel my order, then hung up on me. Very rude!

They wouldnt even let me see the vehicle it was being pulled from to see the engine to make sure it was at least covered as everything looked burned out or major impacts. What are they hiding?

Provided by YP.comSo they send me the wrong part twice, and when I called to tell them to tell them it was tony I spoke to, he started cursing at me telling me I am the one who ordered the wrong part. Then he said I will send you a shipping label so I can return the part to him for refund. When I send the part I didn't get my refund for a whole month, then when I called him he did not want to give me my refund of $250. These people are rude and unprofessional DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!

Provided by YPmobileThese people put the JUNK in junkyard. Absolute hell to deal with! Sent out an engine for the wrong car and refused to refund my money. After 2 months of disputing I got a partial refund. They are rude and curse on the phone. Just look at their reviews and BEWARE!!!!

Provided by YP.comI was over there Friday after Christmas and bought a hard top for a Mercedes SL500...and I just wanted to say THANKS! The top is in great condition, already cleaned up and on the car, and I'm very happy with it! I wanted to thank you and all your folks for all there help...especially Gary, who was great to work with, very helpful and friendly, and generally made it the best experience I've ever had at a used parts place! I know its not easy to be at work on the day after Christmas, and it was rainy and sloppy out there, but he made it seem like fun!
I'm attaching pics of the car with the top on...could you please share them with Gary? And I'll be telling everyone I know about you guys, even though its a pretty long drive from Clemson! Thanks again for your help!!!

Provided by YP.comOrdered a starter on Oct 6th. Shipped on the 8th. I received a box on the 13th. It was a sunroof motor! They labeled my box wrong. When I called, they were upset with me because I couldn't read the dry erase info on the window motor, because it had faded. I sent them a picture, and they called me back. They said my starter went to Utah (I'm in eastern Pa). They sent me a call tag so I could ship the window motor to Utah, which I did the very next day. The person on the other end was asked to do the same. They labeled the box, and didn't send it until they received their part. They labeled the box, but left the other label in place. So, the starter made it to the UPS hub in my county and was to be delivered to me the next day. Well, whomever handled the box looked at the wrong label and sent it back to Utah. It's Nov 4th, no starter. I'm 40 yrs old, been ordering stuff from the internet since 1995... Almost 20 years. I have had an experience or 2 that weren't favorable, but this is the first time I've set aside time to leave a negative review of a business. This has to be the WORST company in existence. And, after what happened on the other end of my starters destination, the seem to deal with other company's on their level. This transaction feels like a GUTPUNCH. PS, November 4, still no starter. But, in all honesty, the price was great. See my previous sentence . November 4th, no starter. Maybe they're shooting for Thursday, to make it an even month! I wouldn't order a part from them again if it was free, guaranteed for life, and shipped overnight.

He's so stupid that you can tell him 1 thing and then he will repeat it over and over and then still get it wrong. Provided by YPmobileWe ordered a transmission from this business weeks ago, over 3000.00. They took our credit card info at time of order. Drove 5 hours to pick it up, after days of them not answering calls and giving vague answers. Finally we got a half hearted promise to have it ready, it was originally supposed to be shipped. Out of desperation we drove so to finally get it handled. The first really bad sign is the way the place looks, they could film horror movies here. Second sign, the sheriff is out front with a customer. So ultimately, they gave complete opposite answers to everything they had ever said by phone! Bizarre place, bizarre people. They look like they were brought down from some mountain hideaway and placed here to work. Do not ever do business here. How they remain open is even more crazy. We cancelled the credit card transaction and left. Having wasted weeks, a lot of expense going there, leaving empty handed. But I can't imagine ever trying to go back over anything they guarantee, you would be done! Creepy experience.

Provided by YP.comI bought a Dodge Ram 4wd 3500 diesel dually transmission for $1,600.00 dollars. I picked it up and took to my shop and my mechanic installed it.Before he put it in he found 3 lugs broke off.So called them and they told get another torque converter so we did for $180.00 and It was disappointing when Transmission wasn't any good.I called them the next morning . They told me to bring it back the following day and pick another one so I did.Keep in mind it was 300 miles round trip.They wood do notHing about the bad torque converter.I picked up the second transmission and took it to my shop and had installed for the second time and guess what,the second one was trash too.so we took it out again and took it back and got my money back since they did not have another one.So I went home for the last time after 900 miles.Went to a transmission shop and now getting transmission rebuilt with a years guarantee.Car guts has the worst customer service I have ever seen.Hard to get them on the phone and they tell you it is ready to pick up and when you get there it is a different story and has not even been taken out of truck and had to wait half a day.Also l lost the 14 x 2=28 quarts of oil plus front and rear seals twice and $180.00 torque I bought that had metal in it from their bad transmission and finally 2 filter kits lost and when I picked up my original transmission there were parts missing off of it.No sorry or nothing. I guess the only way they stay in business is owner friendly with the magistrate.that small town stuff so beware and just stay away and you will be better off.

Provided by YPmobileYou will be making the biggest mistake by ordering from this company! If I could rate them no stars, I would. The customer service is TERRIBLE! Everyone acts like they hate their jobs and on top of that, they are liars. We ordered a 1500.00 transfer case with the electric motor included. We waited over a week so when we called to see when the transfer case would arrive, they said it hasn't even been shipped yet! After a couple questions, we find out that it doesn't even come with the electric motor! I'm glad we called otherwise they would have sent it anyways. We told the girl that we were able to find a transfer case w/o the electric motor AND less miles for 1200.00 and her response was "Sir! I can't do any better than 1,500 AND we still have to ship it!" Last time I checked, WE were the ones who should be upset... Not her. Needless to say, save yourself a huge headache and go somewhere else.
