I didn't stay at Cherokee RV campground but did stay the night at their new sister park just off the highway while on a 2-day trip to the East Coast. I called a few hours in advanced asking if they were close to the highway and had room for me in if I could make it that far on the first day of my trip. I can't remember the owner's name but he said "we have room for your at our new Blacksburg RV Park just give me a call an hour out and i'll hold it for you." I got there later than expected but the owner and security guy were there waiting and helped me get set up. Of course I couldn't find my power cord so the owner sent someone to get his from his RV and both my water hoses had holes so the security guy let me use an extra. I certainly appreciated their hospitality. The next day, I paid my dues and that was it; no need to fill out lengthy forms or a deposit to hold my slot AWESOME. I only rated cleanliness because there is still some debris left over from a mobile home being in the back of the lot but have to keep in mind this is a new RV park and they are still working on it. The slips are gravel and clean and there's a gate that's secured at night. It's all I needed to stop for a night's rest and hit the road the next day!
