Blacksburg Country Club, incorporated in 1956, began as a nine-hole golf course and swimming pool in south Blacksburg. The club is one of the leading private golf, tennis, swimming and dining facilities in the area. The club s 18-hole championship golf course features a 6,750 yard championship course, 6,345 yard regular course, 5,677 yards senior course and 4,947 yard beginners and ladies course. The club also has a more than 230,000-gallon junior Olympic pool, five tennis courts, three hard courts with lights and two clay courts. The more than 7-year old clubhouse has meeting rooms, locker rooms, pro shop, bar and lounge and a private dining room for more than 80 guests. The club organizes social events including night buffets and brunches, special activities such as wine tastings and lobster fest. It has its own swim team and offers a junior golf program which allows young golfers to compete against other clubs. The club has a variety of active associations including men's golf, women's golf, couples' golf and women's tennis. Blacksburg Country Club is located in Blacksburg, Va.
