Our Mission StatementAt the Semiahmoo Kids Kamp we strive to provide children in this community with a safe and healthy learning environment that will advance physical and intellectual competence. We strive to promote social and emotional development and provide programs that keep our families needs in mind. Our program is well organized and promotes independence in a warm and nurturing environment with a professional curriculum that is diverse and promotes independent learning. Our staff is professional, educated, creative and meet the state requirements for STARS training. We follow NAEYC practices and participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program. We are an Early Achievers Level 3 Facility. Licensed by Washington State since 1997.Our FacilityWe are located in beautiful Birch Bay on five acres conveniently located just off Birch Bay Lynden road next to the American Legion. We believe the outdoors is a natural extension of the classroom therefore we offer a 1800 square foot playground and 3 acres of pasture and garden for outdoor exploration. Our spacious center provides two large buildings; one for our Toddlers and Preschool program and one for our Before and After school program. The preschool building, Dolphin and Starfish building, is open and airy with lots of windows and doors that bring the outside into the classroom. We have a separate play area for our toddlers which provides safe outdoor discovery for our youngest children. The Orca building for our before and after school program is 2000 square feet of fun with a loft and opens to our large playground. The Orcas Building is used for our kindergarten enrichment, before and after school, school closures and our summer camp programs. During the summer the school age children are transported to the Semiahmoo Golf and Country Club for tennis and golf lessons. We also offer swim lessons at the Lynden YMCA as part of our summer camp program. We are a bus stop for the Blaine School District and have a small bus for transportation to our many fieldtrips throughout the year.
