Southside Elementary School, located in Blairs, Va., is affiliated with the Pittsylvania County Schools. It provides a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to more than 400 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It offers various programs, including English, arts, music, science, social studies, mathematics and physical education. The school is Virginia Standard of Learning-approved and offers special and computer education. It also provides Success for All reading program, which is a research-based curriculum that groups students from various classes and grade levels by reading ability. Southside Elementary School has a parent-teacher association that focuses on increasing awareness and participation in curriculum and policy development, by enhancing communication between home and school.

My two children have had a great experience at Southside Elementary. Every teacher and staff member cares about the children who attend and does everything they can to encourage their success with both academics and character development. I have been especially impressed with Mrs. Majeid's involvement with the students and her communication with parents.

Regina Majied does not believe...

Regina Majied does not believe in children having mental health issues and will report a parent for child abuse if you try to get your child help. She also does not believe that biracial children should be raised by white parents.
