I contracted Blairstown Pool & Spa to replace my in-ground pool liner. They started the job but never completed it. Three weeks later, with no response or call backs, I was forced to contract with another pool contractor who pointed out several things wrong with Blairstown's incomplete work (dented walls, reused materials, etc). The owner still had the gall to try to collect on the incompleted job. He took me to small claims court which I had to take a day off to attend. The most disturbing thing is the owner said he does nothing in the off season so he has no problem taking home owners to small claims court. In fact he said he was good at it and typically can negotiate at least half of "his" (actually my) loss. The court advocate is quick to point out it's your word against the owner and it is wise to settle. The owner bragged he has plenty of time to go to small claims and he is good at it.
