Putting my mom into a home other than my own was very difficult . She became too ill for any of her children to manage so after careful consideration we decided on Forest Manor. We are extremely pleased with the care she receives and the staff is wonderful. For any loved one to have a successful transition to a nursing home it is very important for family to be involved in the care they receive. Visiting often is the key as well as getting to know the people who are caring for your loved one. I would give Forest Manor an A

Truly a beautiful surrounding, a staff with open arms and hearts, clean, orderless and they are genuine. The staff truly love what they do and it shows. Thank you Forest Manor for taking such good care of my mom and our family with your ongoing support!

MY DAD WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE CARE AND REHAB HE RECEIVED AT FOREST MANOR. WE WILL DEF. LOOK THEM UP IN THE FUTURE IF NEEDED. THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND THE ACTIVITIES DEPT IS WONDERFUL!

So like most people in search of a nursing home in the time of sadness I was looking on line for area nursing homes. Forest Manor was one I looked at and didn't seem to list that great with the star ratings. Having some knowledge with how that works (old stuff stays up for a long time) I decided to put it on the list of places to visit. I met with Desiree in Admissions for a tour of the building, went over staffing and really loved the feel I got and the answers I received. The facility is bright, clean, absolutely NO ODORS, and the staff was cheerful, everyone said hello. The best part is they have courtyard which is secure (nothing can get in or out) but would give my mom the ability to go out and walk around and get fresh air which she absolutely loves. My experience during the tour made me happy I did and didn't just go by what is posted on the internet. Just to be sure though, I went back on a weekend to "catch them with there pants down" and it was running the same way! That was it for me, I placed my mom and she has been there 2 months. She is thriving! She gets her hair done weekly, she goes to activities and she has a social life! Praise god, I can sleep at night! Do yourself a favor and don't go by the reviews. Go take a tour and see for yourself!

My mom has been at forest manor for 3 months and she is so happy. We are finally feeling relaxed and a little less guilty about her being in a nursing home because i swear she acts like she is the mayor in there. When mom is happy, we all are happy! Thank you to the wonderful team there who comforted us during this rough journey and made us feel at ease. We love coming to visit because there are always great things going on and the staff are becoming like family!

MY FATHER WAS IN THE HOSPITAL AND I WAS REFERRED TO FOREST MANOR FOR SAR ALONG WITH A FEW OTHER PLACES. I DECIDED TO LOOK INTO FOREST MANOR BECAUSE IT WAS THE CLOSEST TO MY HOME. I DID MY HOMEWORK AND LOOKED ONLINE BUT DIDNT SEE THE GREATEST REVIEWS. I WAS BUMMED BECAUSE IT WAS SO CLOSE TO MY HOME SO I DECIDED TO GO FOR A TOUR. I AM SO GLAD I TOURED! THE FACILITY WAS BEAUTIFUL, THE STAFF WAS WARM AND FRIENDLY AND I REALLY GOT A GOOD FEELING ABOUT IT. I DECIDED TO TALK WITH SOME RESIDENTS AS I KNEW THEY WOULD GIVE ME THE INSIDE SCOOP AND THEY DID NOTHING BUT RAVE ABOUT IT. MY FATHER HAS BEEN AT FOREST FOR 2 MONTHS NOW AND HE IS THE HAPPIEST IVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME. HE IS GETTING STRONGER IN REHAB AND IS INVOLVED IN ACTIVITIES ALL DAY. SO, I WANTED TO WRITE A REVIEW TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT THEY REALLY SHOULD CHECK IT OUT FOR THEMSELVES....YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU TOURED!

I have no idea what the other reviews were talking about. The staff was pleasant and helpful, anytime I had questions they were answered. They truly cared about the residents and went above and beyond to take care of them. My father has been there almost six months and I never smelled anything outside of the building or inside, perhaps this "neighbor" has issues with having a nursing home located next to them, I dont know. I would recoment this facility to anyone, I visited the local nusing homes near Hacketstown Hospital and I am really glad I selected Forest Manor.

Wasn't all that excited about having mom being placed in a nursing home. We all know the guilt but mom needed professional care that we couldn't offer her. Like other families i was hesitant to go because of previous bad reviews, but i agree, maybe that's how it used to be but it isn't anymore! We're happy because mom is happy!

I had to place my aunt at a rehab facility after a heart attack. Living in the area, I knew Forest Manor was a great place. Reading some reviews made me skeptical, but she had a great stay with positive outcomes and was discharged home at the end of her rehab stayliving at , where she remains. I owe this all to Forest Manor! I liked it so much I even volunteer there now! The rooms are nice with a TV, "no pay" phone service and very friendly staff!!

My mother fell and broke her hip. Her stay at Forest Manor was great, physical therapy, the nursing staff and everyone involved with her care were fabulous, I cant say enough about her care. I read the reviews from 2009 and its was nothing like the comments, I would recomend this building to anybody.

The Facility is plagued with problems and not recommended by me to anyone who has a family member in need of specialized health care. Communication between family members and staff/attending doctors is terrible. My request for a hospice assessment for my Father was road blocked over a week prior to the day he passed away (you need a specific doctor's order). Leading up to this, my Father told me that he was too weak and could not tolerate physical therapy any longer; however the staff continued on pushing him and ridiculed him that he was just "giving up". Housekeeping and nutritional services are also lacking. Odor of sewage is evident throughout from a faulty septic. Therefore, the facility in my opinion should be closed.

Finding a nursing home for rehabilitation was extreamly dificult but when i was given the contact info to the admissions director at forest manor all my worries went away. They were extreamly helpful they understood what i was going through and turned a dificult experience into a pleasent one .During my stay the staff was wonderful.I would recommend this wonderfull facility to everyone. THANK YOU TO THE FOREST MANOR TEAM!

I live next door and we kick drugged residents butts out, unwanted and unwelcome. Find a better place as staff dumps residents at our doors expecting to find them hours later often discovering residents GONE calling us working people at MIDNIGHT to search for without compensation. Find somewhere else to go....township has no no municipal services and basic shopping is MILES away. WE TAXPAYING RESIDENTS of State Park Road have NO OBLIGATION to support DEADBEAT residents., No more letters, phone calls or visits from Forest Manor.....Frelinghuysen Township notified Forest Manor to cease harassing homeowners. 'Gracious Lifestyle' is a FRAUD,,,,we don't want drugged out wandering residents about who can threaten our elderly parents.

I live 'next door' on eight acres. That place sits on rock so when it rains, place stinks. They added a new septic field on top of failing one....leaches into a pipe leading to a freshwater stream. Trouble plagued, short staffed and mis-managed, I'm tired of visits by wandering drugged residents and NJ State Police. Better to find a 'Geriatric HoJo' or die in a plastic bag.....not a place to retire.
