Metropolitan Learning Center, located in Bloomfield, Conn., is affiliated with the Capitol Region Education Council. It has an enrollment of more than 600 students. It offers an extensive curriculum for students in grades six through 12. The school provides a wide range of academic courses, including English, language arts, physical science, chemistry, biology, world history and geography, American history and government, economics, mathematics, algebra, geometry, foreign language, fine and practical arts, and health and physical education. It also provides a variety of facilities, such as a computer laboratory, library, media center and a cafeteria. Metropolitan Learning Center offers various sports activities that include basketball, football, volleyball, soccer, softball, wrestling, golf and cross country.
