This place used to have a lovely groomer named Pam, who has been replaced by a groomer with no warmth or dog-friendly energy, quite the opposite, she seemed PO'd from the moment I walked in...call and ask for Pam if you think I'm making this up. Just brought my Westie back for a trim, and he had a very rough time with the new groomer. I was in my car when they called and asked me to come back to hold Boswell while the woman groomed him. When I got there he was totally freaked out, had a string tied around his neck, which was only choking him. I untied him and said never mind. Went to pay and the woman acknowledged they hadn't groomed him yet, only washed him. But they still charged me for grooming him and said they were giving me a break by not charging me the "rowdy dog" surchage. My dog is 11 years old and has been groomed his whole life. He always shakes at first but then settles down, never had an experience anything like this. The owner wasn't anywhere around. Cannot recommend this...there are much better places. They used to be in Montclair but moved to Bloomfield. Wonder why. Written September 13, 2010

I just took my Yorkie to be groomed and she looks BEAUTIFUL! The groomer was very nice and she made sure that my dog didn't stay there too long. I would highly recommend Pup n Suds.

I took my dog to get groomed , She called my to pick up the dog. When I picked up the dog, she was gagging for air. I rushed to the animal hospital, she was on oxygen and medication for three days! Turns out that her trachea collapsed and with the collar around her neck made it worse! She never called to say something was wrong with my dog and she never finished grooming her! I have pictures and bills to prove it! I am looking into making sure she is even licensed!
