Costigan & Wollrab was founded in 1916 by Will F. Costigan and Fred Wollrab. In addition to practicing law, Will earned part of his living as a butcher and a law professor at the Illinois Wesleyan Bloomington Law School. Fred Wollrab was a part time cub reporter for the Bulletin newspaper. As the Bloomington/Normal community grew, so did Costigan & Wollrab. Will F. Costigan and Fred Wollrab quit their part time jobs and engaged full time in the practice of law. In 1926, Walter Yoder was added to the firm and remained with Costigan & Wollrab for 35 years. At the conclusion of World War II, Will's son, Bill, and Fred's son, Jim, joined the firm and went on to have long and successful legal careers. Since its founding, Costigan & Wollrab's philosophy and mission have been to zealously serve our clients' legal needs in an effective, confidential and efficient manner. Today, our attorneys have over 250 years of cumulative experience in the practice of law.
