You may be just like me, an EXTREME OVER-PROTECTIVE parent! If you are looking for a clean, safe, structured, fun and loving learning environment for your child, please read on about my experience at Teddy Bear Nursery and ABC Academy.

When I was seeking childcare I had no idea where to go or what to expect. I decided to try Teddy Bear for my infant daughter because we had a poor experience at another local childcare program. The facility was clean, the staff was very friendly and she had so much more room to play. When she reached toddlerhood, she moved to the toddler class where she received a structured and fun learning environment. Each week, I was provided with a learning curriculum. I was so impressed! I used the curriculum as a tool to reinforce what she learned each day. When she graduated from the Nursery and moved to ABC Academy, she blossomed. When she entered Kindergarten, her teacher was so delighted that she knew how to write her name, read a simple book and count to 100! In first grade, she was chosen to participate in an accelerated reading program.

My son also attended the Nursery and Academy. He is currently in Kindergarten and his teacher has told me that he is doing a fantastic job academically. I believe that the foundation that the Nursery and Academy helped me lay for my children's behavior and future academics has set them both up for success. The best part is that we worked together as a team to make it happen.

Thank you for your time to read this review. Our family has more than 8 years of history with ABC Academy / Teddy Bear Day Care in Bloomington Indiana. Therefore, we have proven experience with ABC/Teddy Bear with kids who have (very, very) different personalities and needs. We recommend ABC/Teddy Bear without reservation. Their facilities are well-kept. The kiddos' days are packed with fun and learning. Our oldest was more than prepared for Kindergarten. Her K teacher was clear that she was notably ahead of most of the other K students. Our youngest is thrilled to show us her schoolwork each day. She's excited to learn. Our children will voluntarily speak of their "love" for their teachers. Hugs are standard inside those doors. Perhaps one of the things that we prefer the most is their structure. They reinforce the values we want our children to have in the community; kindness, consideration, and accountability. Our children have very different personalities and behavior, different encouragement and discipline needs, and the teachers adjust well. When hiccups have arisen, we were pleased with how well the owner and teachers would collaborate with us to get the best resolution for all. Over the years, we've witnessed some "interesting" parent involvement and were wowed by their calm reaction. Our oldest still speaks of her happy memories here. Our youngest will be leaving ABC (and starting Kindergarten) this fall. We're going to miss this place. To parents who are searching, consider ABC/Teddy Bear.

I was so hesitant to send my 3yr old and 1yr old to any daycare/preschool. Being an overprotective parent was the biggest obstacle to overcome but as me and my husband took a tour and met with the coordinator and teachers I was very please. Everything is well kept, clean and organized. My son has learned so much and excelled in his letters, numbers etc... I also love the holiday events they have, my son was so excited to participate. Not to mention they have worked with mine and my husbands hectic schedule without feeling a burden. Every staff member has always been very open and welcoming. I definitely recommend this academy for a parent who has ever had doubts of leaving their children in someone else's hands.
